A Seasonal Showcase With Rachel Trimarco

ny bride to be, or even any wedding attendee, knows that one of the most memorable reception details is the floral design. A well-balanced blend of color, texture and shape is a significant part of creating the overall mood of the environment, whether that mood happens to be a radiating joy, a dramatic elegance, or sweet sophistication, just to name a few.

Rachel Trimarco, a Brooklyn native, understood this all too well as she went about coordinating her own wedding. With a determined vision in her head of the beach chic sensibility she desired to convey, she met with Hamptons florist after florist, who responded with nothing short of unreasonable quotes.

Perhaps it was Rachel’s background in business management and economics, or her career experience in public relations and television news production — but something in her authoritatively decided to take matters into her own hands. After successfully reaching agreements with distributors, and with the assistance of a skilled team, Rachel executed the entire floral and décor direction for her 350 guest wedding.

Rachel returned from her honeymoon to find that many others had responded to her talent to convey a gorgeous mood with her design skills, and were looking to hire the florist from her wedding. This prompted the conception of Bride & Blossom, a luxury boutique floral design business, with Rachel at the helm.

Since the conception of Bride & Blossom in 2008, Rachel has led her team to decorate over 500 elite weddings, offering clients the upmost luxurious, individualized and detailed wedding florals. As if this highly attentive service does not keep the Bride & Blossom team busy enough, they constantly expand upon their vast array of knowledge and experience by participating in international floral events, and honing skills in different classes. For example, they recently participated in a layering technique training with the esteemed Karen Tran at a Parisian chateau.

We called upon Bride & Blossom’s impeccable vision and curated taste to take us through a seasonal showcase of different weddings for each of the four seasons, to envision how a spring, summer, fall and winter wedding look when produced by Bride & Blossom. Allow these seasonal selections to inspire your next event.

Spring

Nothing speaks spring like the white cherry blossom, a quintessential New York flower. These elegant, classic blooms were called upon to transform Gotham Hall in New York City for a lovely spring wedding. Their softness provided a delightful contrast to the hard, cold nature of the old bank vault that is the venue; both were able to co-exist and compliment each other wonderfully.

Summer

With the proliferation of the flower crown trend, we have all seen examples of the look seeming exhausted or overdone. However, Bride & Blossom’s design here, for a bohemian chic beach wedding at Gurneys in Montauk, is an exceptional example of the trend done right, as it compliments the bride, her dress, the venue and the overall entire aesthetic of the event. Soft natural flowers and greenery really lent themselves well to the scenery, all captured by Flora + Fauna photography.
