A Sense of Place & Architecture
Forestis rises from Palmschoß, amongst dense forest overlooking the Dolomites and bordering Puez-Odle Nature Park.
The retreat is built around a building from 1912, to which three sculptural wooden towers have been added. These new towers, designed to mimic tree-trunks and bark, don’t rise above treetops, ensuring the forest remains the protagonist.
Interiors are warm yet minimal: local woods, natural stone (dolomite), light earth tones, floor-to-ceiling windows that frame pine, spruce, and larch. The lighting is gentle, artful, giving weight to atmosphere without distraction.
Accommodations: Sanctuaries in the Sky
Each of Forestis’s 62 suites is designed as an extension of the surrounding landscape: minimalist, warm, and sun-filled. Facing south toward the Dolomite peaks, they are bathed in natural light throughout the day, creating an atmosphere of quiet luxury and calm. Interiors use natural materials such as local wood, stone, and textiles in pale, earthy tones, to blur the line between inside and out. Every suite features water from the property’s own spring, identical in purity to the renowned Plose source.
Suites in the Historic Building - Set within the restored 1912 structure, the 20 Historic Building Suites combine mountain heritage with modern refinement. Each includes one or two bedrooms, a separate living area, rain shower, and terrace overlooking the peaks. Minibars are stocked with local specialties like mountain apple juices and South Tyrolean chocolate.
Tower Suites - Rising through the trees, the 40 Tower Suites feature floor-to-ceiling glass, private terraces with daybeds, and living spaces anchored by a traditional tiled stove. Bathrooms include both bathtub and rain shower, and in summer, the terrace daybeds can be prepared for sleeping under the stars.
Penthouse Suites - At the summit of the outer towers, the two Penthouse Suites feel like private mountain homes. Spread across two levels, each includes a fireplace, dining area, and panoramic bedroom framed entirely in glass, with terrace, private sauna, and pool opening onto the vast Dolomite skyline.
Sleeping Beneath the Stars - In summer, the terrace daybeds of the Tower Suites can be prepared for open-air sleep, providing an unforgettable night under South Tyrol’s vast, unpolluted sky. It’s an experience of rare stillness, where the air, forest scent, and rhythm of the mountains become part of rest itself.
The Spa
Indoor to Outdoor Pool
Forestis Spa: Nature, Silence, and Renewal
Spanning two floors beneath the towers, the Forestis Spa is a sanctuary of light, air, and forest energy. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame uninterrupted views of the Dolomites, while every element, from indoor and outdoor pools to saunas and treatment rooms, is designed to harmonize with the surrounding nature.
Pools & Saunas
Indoor pool seamlessly connects to an outdoor pool.
Multiple saunas, each crafted from South Tyrolean wood.
The Silent Room, with its central fireplace, invites quiet reflection.
Tea Lounge features a curated library and eight signature South Tyrolean tea blends.
Treatments & Wellness - The Forestis Tree Circle guides every spa experience, inspired by four indigenous trees: mountain pine, spruce, larch, and Swiss stone pine. Each guest selects a tree essence aligned with their current physical and mental state, while therapists combine touch techniques, natural materials, and sound frequencies for deeply personalized treatments. Skincare is from Forestis’s own line, formulated with tree-based essences and spring water.
Movement & Mindfulness - Indoor and outdoor sessions of Wyda, the European practice of Celtic yoga, are offered for energy, flexibility, and inner centering. Drawing on druidic traditions, Wyda combines movement, meditation, and breathwork to release blockages and harmonize energy flow.

Forest Dining
The Culinary Landscape: YERA & Forest Cuisine
At Forestis, dining reflects the surrounding landscape, with local ingredients, seasonal harvests, and ancestral traditions shaping every plate. Below the historic house, the Restaurant features terraced seating with Dolomite views, while summer opens the terrace to the forest. Inside, fireplaces create a cozy atmosphere for aperitifs and dinners. Guests enjoy breakfast and à la carte evening meals, while the lounge restaurant serves the 24-hour menu and Forestis evening selections.
Forest Cuisine with Roland Lamprecht - Chef Roland Lamprecht’s signature “forest cuisine” draws on ingredients from the surrounding forests: mushrooms, berries, herbs, nuts, and more. Seasonal produce is harvested and preserved for use year-round, combined with Mediterranean flavors and Alpine ingredients. Local farmers supply meats, fish, dairy, and honey, while breads and jams are prepared in-house.
YERA: A Celebration of Abundance: YERA, a hidden restaurant on the FORESTIS property, offers an immersive dining experience where each evening is guided by the rhythms of nature, allowing the seasons to shape the flow of food and drink. Every course is thoughtfully sequenced to showcase the richness of the seasons, with vegetarian, vegan, and dietary needs carefully accommodated when requested.
Immersive Forest Dining: Guests gather around an open fire in a hidden forest setting, sharing a communal meal crafted by Chef Roland Lamprecht. The experience is as much about presence and ritual as it is about flavor.
Flavors of the Forest: Every dish draws on forest herbs, fruits, and seasonal ingredients, transformed into innovative preparations.
Curated Beverage Pairings: Forest sommelier Hannes Unterberger creates subtle, low-alcohol drink pairings that mirror the natural cycles of the forest, enhancing each course with harmony and depth.
Mindful Atmosphere: Set in a forest cave, YERA encourages undistracted connection. Guests leave phones and cameras behind to fully engage with the meal, the forest, and one another.
